316 for rain/snow – develops patina but won't flake. Clean annually with soap.

 

Can 201 be used indoors?
Yes for dry wall art. Dust with microfiber cloth. Avoid humid bathrooms.

 

Restoring tarnished metal?
Baking soda paste + soft brush. Rinse and wax for protection.

 

Why did my hook leave rust stains?
Likely 201 steel or contaminated 304. Replace with certified 316.
