Description
EN 1.4919 is a high-performance austenitic stainless steel, designed for elevated-temperature applications requiring exceptional creep resistance and oxidation resistance. Composed of 17.0-19.0% chromium, 11.0-13.0% nickel, and small additions of molybdenum, titanium, and niobium, it delivers superior mechanical stability at temperatures up to 850°C. Unlike standard high-temperature grades like EN 1.4306, it offers enhanced corrosion resistance in high-heat, mildly corrosive environments, making it suitable for petrochemical and power generation applications. It is non-magnetic at room temperature, has good weldability and formability, and is widely used in components exposed to sustained high temperatures and moderate corrosion.
Chemical Composition (wt%)
C ≤ 0.08, Cr: 17.00-19.00, Ni: 11.00-13.00, Mo: 1.80-2.50, Ti: 0.15-0.35, Nb: 0.15-0.35, Mn ≤ 2.00, Si ≤ 1.00, P ≤ 0.045, S ≤ 0.030
Mechanical Properties
Tensile Strength ≥ 520 MPa, Yield Strength ≥ 205 MPa, Elongation ≥ 40%, Hardness ≤ 215 HB
Advantages
Superior high-temperature creep resistance; excellent oxidation resistance at 850°C; good corrosion resistance in mild high-heat environments; non-magnetic; good weldability and formability; suitable for high-temperature industrial applications.
Applications
High-temperature piping, petrochemical pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boiler parts, and power generation equipment requiring high-heat stability and moderate corrosion resistance.
Equivalent Grades
AISI 316Ti, UNS S31635, GB 06Cr17Ni12Mo2Ti
