Advantages of 1.4401 2B stainless steel cold finished pipe
The 1.4401 stainless steel pipe, through 2B surface treatment, forms a dense oxide film that bonds tightly with the base material. It can maintain long-term resistance to rust and pitting in non-strongly oxidizing environments (such as fluid conveyance with pH 4-9), extending the service life of the pipeline. Additionally, its surface roughness (Ra 0.3-0.5μm) features no obvious rolling streaks or mirror-like reflections, avoiding the issues of fingerprint/smudge visibility common with high-gloss surfaces.
The 1.4401 stainless steel 2B surface pipe has moderate hardness (Vickers hardness of approximately 150-200HV). Compared to the rougher No.1 industrial surface or the smoother BA/8K surface, it is more suitable for processing operations such as stamping, bending, and welding-resulting in less mold wear during stamping, reduced risk of cracking at bent sections, and more stable corrosion resistance in welded areas.
