ASTM A268 TP430 ferritic stainless steel pipe is suitable for medium-temperature corrosion environments without strong chlorides, such as nitric acid treatment, industrial exhaust systems and architectural decoration. Its ferrite structure characteristics (magnetic, non-heat-treatable strengthening) make it different from martensitic/austenitic stainless steel in terms of processing performance and cost performance.

ASTM A268 TP430 stainless steel cold rolled tube is a low carbon, low chromium stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, especially strong corrosion resistance to oxidizing acids, and also has certain corrosion resistance to alkaline solutions and most organic and inorganic acids.
Compared with 304 stainless steel tube, 430 stainless steel has stronger resistance to stress corrosion cracking, lower thermal expansion coefficient, higher oxidation resistance, and is relatively cheap, so it is used as a substitute for 304 stainless steel in many occasions.
