What is ASTM A213 TP316L stainless steel heat exchanger tube?

ASTM A213 TP316L stainless steel heat exchanger tube is a seamless, heat-treated tube made from 316L austenitic stainless steel, designed specifically for heat exchangers, boilers, and superheaters. The "L" designation represents its low carbon content (up to 0.025%), which improves weldability and resistance to carbide precipitation. The addition of molybdenum (2-3%) enhances resistance to chloride corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion. Even at high temperatures, it maintains high strength and toughness, suitable for operating temperatures up to 870°C, and is not susceptible to hot brittle fracture.

Flaring Test
According to ASTM A370-17.
Equipment: LX-202-52 Compression-testing machine.
Result: Flaring ratio:21%, Angle: 60°, D (inside): 41.37958mm, accurate date: 42.05mm result is no cracks or breaks.

Rockwell hardness Test
According to ASTM A370-17.
Equipment: LX-204-59 Rockwell hardness tester.

Flattening Test
According to ASTM A370-17.
