316 Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe
Product Description
316 stainless steel seamless pipe is an austenitic stainless steel made by hot rolling or cold rolling, with uniform wall thickness, smooth surface and strong pressure bearing capacity. Adding 2-3% molybdenum (Mo) significantly improves the corrosion resistance to chlorides, acids and high temperature environments, and is especially suitable for harsh scenes such as seawater and salt spray.
316 stainless steel cold-drawn pipe is non-magnetic and has excellent welding performance. It can be used for a long time in the range of -196°C to 800°C, and is suitable for high-pressure systems (such as oil pipelines).

316 Stainless Steel Pipe Vs. 304, 316L
Compared to 304 stainless steel: Higher molybdenum content improves its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for highly corrosive environments.
Compared to 316L stainless steel: Slightly higher carbon content (≤0.08% vs ≤0.03%), higher strength, but heat treatment is required after welding to avoid sensitization.
