ASTM A268 Stainless Steel Seamless pipe Introduction
ASTM A268 TP410 is a martensitic stainless steel (UNS S41000) with high strength, wear resistance and mild corrosion resistance. It is suitable for scenarios that require a combination of mechanical strength and basic corrosion resistance. Its magnetic properties are present in both the annealed and hardened states, which is a significant feature that distinguishes it from 300 series austenitic stainless steel.

A268 TP410 stainless steel pipe is a martensitic stainless steel with magnetic properties, corrosion resistance in mild environments, good ductility, annealed elongation ≥ 20%, supports cold bending, flaring and other forming processes, and meets the needs of complex pipeline installation.
A268 TP410 seamless pipe is magnetic in both annealed and hardened states and is more wear-resistant than most 300 series stainless steels. It also has good resistance to sulfide stress corrosion cracking and oxidation (up to 1200°F), suitable for medium temperature scenarios such as boiler pipes and automotive exhaust systems.
ER410 welding wire is recommended, and heat input needs to be controlled to prevent grain coarsening. Stress can be eliminated by annealing (750-800℃) after welding.
