12x18H10T seamless stainless steel pipes Supplier and manufacturer
GOST 9941-81 12X18H10T (12Х18Н10Т) is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel seamless pipe containing approximately 17–19% Cr and 9–12% Ni. Stabilized with titanium, it enables carbon to preferentially bind with titanium to form stable carbides, thereby reducing the likelihood of Cr₂₃C₆ precipitation at grain boundaries. Consequently, this material is particularly suitable for piping and equipment requiring welding, thermal cycling, and long-term operation at medium to elevated temperatures.
In terms of high-temperature service, 12X18H10T exhibits good oxidation resistance and thermal stability. Under appropriate atmospheric, stress, and media conditions, it can be utilized in high-temperature applications around the 900°C level, with intermittent service temperatures able to be increased further. In the annealed state, 12X18H10T typically offers a tensile strength above approximately 515–520 MPa, a yield strength above 205 MPa, and an elongation above 35–40%, with hardness controlled according to product standards and delivery conditions.
GNEE can supply 12X18H10T seamless stainless steel pipes in accordance with GOST 9941-81. The seamless manufacturing process eliminates longitudinal weld seam structures, allowing for tube expanding, flanging, cold bending, and machining. It is suitable for boilers, heat exchangers, and process piping projects that demand high pipe continuity and pressure-bearing capacity. Specifications cover OD 6–630 mm and wall thickness 0.89–40 mm, with different Schedules or non-standard dimensions available upon request. Length options include SRL approx. 5–7 m, fixed length 6 m, and DRL approx. 11–12 m, with custom lengths processed according to project requirements. Surface finishes can be supplied as annealed and pickled, with end options such as plain end or bevel end to meet varying installation and welding requirements.

GOST 9941-81 12X18H12T Stainless Steel Tube Applications
Petrochemical industry: Heat exchangers, cracking furnace tubes.
Energy industry: Power plant boiler superheater tubes, steam piping.
High-temperature equipment: Aircraft engine components, exhaust systems.
General industry: Equipment for highly corrosive environments requiring resistance to intergranular corrosion.
Lead time
Regarding export delivery, GNEE arranges supply based on inventory and production schedules; lead times are approximately 2–3 weeks for standard stock specifications and typically 6–10 weeks for non-stock items or special dimensions. Products are packaged to prevent moisture damage and impact, with the exterior of the pipe bundles clearly marked with material grade, specifications, heat number, quantity, and order details to facilitate handling, transport, and batch identification upon arrival.
Quality Control
We provide heat-specific Material Test Certificates (MTC) and heat number traceability, along with inspections covering chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensions, and visual appearance. Additional testing-such as 100% hydrostatic testing, PMI (OES) alloy verification, ultrasonic testing (UT), and radiographic testing (RT)-can be performed upon request. For projects requiring GOST documentation or EN 10204 3.1 certificates, specific documentation requirements can be clarified during the inquiry stage.

Standard export packaging
GNEE employs export-grade packaging to protect 12X18H10T seamless pipes. Pipe ends are fitted with protective caps, and the pipes are bundled according to specifications; the exterior is secured with moisture-proof film, anti-rust materials, and steel strapping, with wooden crates or pallets used when necessary. Each batch is marked with the steel grade, specifications, heat number, and quantity to ensure protection against moisture and impact during long-distance sea transport while maintaining heat number traceability.

FAQ
What is the difference between GOST 9941 and GOST 5632?
GOST 9941-81 is a product standard for seamless cold- and hot-deformed corrosion-resistant steel pipes, specifying requirements for dimensions, manufacturing, mechanical properties, testing, and acceptance;
GOST 5632 primarily specifies the steel grades and chemical compositions of stainless steels and heat-resistant alloys.
Is 12X18H10T magnetic?
12X18H10T is an austenitic stainless steel; in the annealed state, it typically exhibits non-magnetic or weakly magnetic properties.
How do I choose between 12X18H10T and 10X18H16?
If the priority is high-temperature stability and resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding or thermal cycling, the titanium-stabilized 12X18H10T is the preferred choice; if the priority is resistance to chloride-containing media, acidic environments, and general wet corrosion, then molybdenum-containing materials such as 10X17H13M2T (or 316-type) should be considered. Material selection should be determined based on a comprehensive assessment of temperature, medium composition, chloride ion concentration, and pressure.
Can 12X18H10T be welded?
Answer: Yes. It is an excellent material for welding.
Welding considerations: Although it contains titanium to prevent post-weld intergranular corrosion, care must still be taken to control heat input during welding and to use matching filler materials (such as niobium- or titanium-bearing welding wire) to ensure the corrosion resistance of the weld metal.
