ASTM A358 TP316 welded pipe is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel that offers enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. TP316 Class 1 pipes are manufactured using a double-welded process with filler metal, and all welds are subjected to 100% radiographic (X-ray) inspection to ensure weld integrity and mechanical properties equivalent to the base metal. Post-weld heat treatment is not required, making these pipes ideal for systems with stringent requirements for weld quality and cleanliness.

ASTM A358 TP316 EFW steel pipe has a tensile strength of ≥515 MPa and can withstand high pressures above 10 MPa under 20°C operating conditions. For certain nominal pipe sizes (e.g., NPS 1/2), the minimum wall thickness must be ≥1.5% of the nominal diameter as required by ASME B31.3. For instance, the minimum wall thickness for NPS 1/2 is 1.27 mm. These pipes meet the stringent requirements of ASME B31.3 for high-temperature piping, withstanding temperatures up to 800°C.
The internal surface roughness of ASTM A358 TP316 pipes is Ra ≤ 1.6 μm, effectively reducing fluid resistance and scaling risk.
