ASTM A358 Grade 310 EFW Pipes introduction
ASTM A358 310 grade EFW (Electric Fusion Welded) pipes are austenitic stainless steel pipes designed for high temperature, high pressure and severe corrosive environments. They comply with ASME/ASTM international standards and are delivered in heat-treated and pickled conditions to ensure the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the pipes. They are available in a wide range of specifications, with outer diameters ranging from 57 mm to 1626 mm and wall thicknesses ranging from 2 mm to 60 mm.
ASTM A358 310S stainless steel welded pipes have a maximum operating temperature of 1200°C and a continuous use temperature of 1150°C. At high temperatures, 310S stainless steel EFW pipes can still maintain high strength and toughness and are not prone to creep and deformation.

What is the difference between 310 grade stainless steel EFW pipe and 310S?
Grade 310 usually refers to 310S (UNS S31008), which reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion by reducing the carbon content and is particularly suitable for welded structures.
A358 310S stainless steel welded pipe does not require additional treatment after welding and is suitable for high-temperature welded pipes (such as EFW pipes). 310 stainless steel pipes are used for non-welded high-temperature parts (such as bolts, castings), but the heat input must be strictly controlled during welding.
