Advantages of Stainless Steel 420 L Angle
420 stainless steel hot-rolled angle bar contains a higher carbon content than ferritic stainless steels such as 430. After quenching and tempering, its hardness can reach HRC 48–52, making it the only grade in the 400 series that can significantly increase hardness through heat treatment.
Impact Resistance: Compared with the brittleness of ferritic stainless steels like 430, 420 stainless angle bars offer better toughness after proper tempering, making them suitable for applications involving vibration or impact, such as industrial equipment supports.
Corrosion Resistance: Containing 12%–14% chromium, 420 stainless steel provides 3–4 times the atmospheric corrosion resistance of carbon steel. It performs well in indoor humid conditions, fresh water, and neutral solutions, offering stable performance with minimal maintenance required.
