1.4410 (also known as Super Duplex 2507, UNS S32750) stainless steel pipes possess excellent strength and high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, maintaining good performance even in highly corrosive, chlorine-containing, or seawater environments. Therefore, they are ideally suited for use in wastewater treatment applications.
The pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) of 1.4410 duplex stainless steel pipes is 30-35, exhibiting excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in harsh wastewater environments with chloride concentrations up to 10,000 mg/L.
1.4410 cold-rolled stainless steel pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 620 MPa and a yield strength of 450 MPa, enabling them to withstand cyclic pressure and corrosive media in municipal wastewater treatment systems, industrial wastewater (chemical, dyeing) pipelines, and aeration systems for over 15 years while maintaining structural integrity and requiring low maintenance costs.

What is the difference between 1.4410 and 1.4462?
Standard duplex 2205 (1.4462) contains about 22 % chromium, 5 % nickel and 3 % molybdenum. In contrast, 1.4410 contains roughly 25 % Cr, 7 % Ni, 4 % Mo and ≈0.27 % N. These higher alloy additions increase the PREN and raise both yield strength and tensile strength.
Applications of Super Duplex 2507 S32750 Pipe
- Offshore platforms: Due to its high corrosion resistance and excellent durability, Duplex 2507 pipe is commonly used in offshore oil and gas platforms.
- Chemical processing: This type of pipe is ideal for use in chemical processing facilities, where it must withstand exposure to highly aggressive chemicals.
- Pulp and paper mills: The excellent erosion and abrasion resistance of super duplex 2507 pipe make it an ideal choice for use in pulp and paper mills, where it can transport slurries and abrasive materials.
- Desalination plants: Given its exceptional corrosion resistance, super duplex 1.4410 material is an ideal choice for use in desalination plants, where seawater is converted into freshwater.

2507 Stainless Steel Pipe & Tube, UNS number is UNS S32750 or S32760, EN steel number is 1.4410, has similar properties to 2205 (S31803), both are super duplex stainless steels, suitable for oil and gas, chemical processing, marine engineering and other fields.
