ASTM A928 Class 1 Electric Fusion Welded (EFW) pipes, including those made from super duplex stainless steels like UNS S32750 (2507 Super Duplex) and duplex steels like UNS S32205 (2205), as well as UNS S31254, which are characterized by their high strength and excellent resistance to corrosion, particularly in aggressive chloride environments. Class 1 pipes are double-welded using a filler metal and require 100% radiography to ensure the weld quality is consistent with the base metal.
