Description

Grade 321H represents the high-carbon evolution of 321, engineered to deliver enhanced high-temperature strength and creep resistance while retaining titanium stabilization benefits. With a carbon range of 0.04-0.10%, it provides improved mechanical stability at temperatures above 500°C, outperforming standard 321 in long-term thermal service. It maintains 321's titanium-stabilized corrosion resistance, preventing intergranular corrosion during welding and high-temperature exposure. Unlike 321, 321H is specifically formulated for high-pressure, high-temperature applications where structural integrity under sustained thermal stress is critical.

Chemical Composition (wt%)

C: 0.04-0.10, Cr: 17.00-19.00, Ni: 9.00-12.00, Ti: 0.15-0.40, Mn ≤ 2.00, Si ≤ 1.00, P ≤ 0.045, S ≤ 0.030

Mechanical Properties

Tensile Strength ≥ 515 MPa, Yield Strength ≥ 205 MPa, Elongation ≥ 40%, Hardness ≤ 201 HB

Advantages

Superior high-temperature creep resistance; titanium-stabilized corrosion protection; enhanced mechanical strength at elevated temperatures; non-magnetic; suitable for high-pressure thermal components.

Applications

High-temperature boiler tubes, petrochemical pressure vessels, power generation equipment, heat exchangers, and industrial heating systems.

Equivalent Grades

UNS S32109, EN 1.4879, GB 07Cr18Ni10Ti, SUS321H
