GNEE Stainless Steel, as a professional supplier of stainless steel bars, has stable sourcing channels from major domestic mills such as Baosteel and TISCO, and supports flexible supply from sample orders to bulk procurement.
GNEE supplies SUS444 (UNS S44400 / 1.4521) food-grade stainless steel bars in accordance with ASTM A276 / A479 standards. Available forms include round bars, square bars, and hex bars, with diameters ranging from 6–200 mm and lengths of 2–6 m or customized. Surface finishes include black, bright, polished, and turned finishes, meeting the machining requirements of components such as shafts, agitators, valve stems, and support parts used in food processing equipment.

Our SUS444 stainless steel bars are manufactured through forging at 1100–1200°C and hot rolling, followed by annealing at 850–920°C, precision straightening, and surface finishing. They then undergo eddy current and ultrasonic testing, full dimensional inspection, and pickling and passivation. A zero-contamination control process is maintained throughout production to ensure the material is safe, non-toxic, and free from precipitation, complying with FDA and EU 1935/2004 food contact standards.

In chloride-containing food environments (such as brine and cleaning agents), SUS444 shows no stress corrosion cracking, with long-term resistance to rust and no heavy metal precipitation. Its thermal conductivity is 130–150% that of austenitic stainless steel, while its thermal expansion coefficient is only 60–70%. Being nickel-free, it offers a cost advantage of 15–20% compared to 316L. Each batch is supplied with a Mill Test Certificate, EN 10204 3.2 certification, and food-grade inspection reports, with a finished product qualification rate of ≥99.5% and fast delivery capability.

In addition, we provide deep processing services such as cutting, turning, grinding, and polishing, along with professional material selection advice and welding guidance. SUS444 can be welded using conventional stainless steel welding methods without the risk of intergranular corrosion after welding.
SUS 444 Stainless Steel Bars Applications
Food and beverage processing: Used in machinery, piping, and dairy equipment.
Hot water heating and storage: Widely used in household hot water tanks, water containers, and water heaters.
Process industry components: Suitable for boiler parts, fumed ducts, and chemical processing equipment.

corrosion resistance:SUS 444 vs. SUS 316/304?
SUS 444 demonstrates excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride-containing environments, such as brine used in food processing, cleaning agents, and acidic media containing chlorides. Accelerated laboratory corrosion tests have shown that it remains free of cracks after 48 hours in a boiling magnesium chloride solution; its resistance to stress corrosion cracking is significantly superior to that of SUS 304 (which developed cracks in 2.5 hours) and SUS 316L (which developed cracks in 9.8 hours). This makes it highly suitable for use in pickling equipment, seafood processing lines, high-temperature cleaning systems, and water treatment applications.
SUS 444 Stainless Steel Bars Manufacturer
To meet the high standards of the food industry, our SUS 444 stainless steel bars strictly adhere to the JIS G4303 standard, maintaining a PREN value (pitting resistance equivalent) consistently between 24 and 26. For packaging, we use a single-layer PE protective film with fiber-reinforced hexagonal binding. For precision-ground bars with tolerances of h8-h9, we also provide export-grade fumigated wooden crates to ensure a surface roughness ≤0.4μm and prevent scratches caused by logistics transportation.
Regarding delivery time, standard Φ10-Φ120mm bars are in stock and can be shipped within 48 hours; orders requiring custom cutting or surface grinding have a delivery time of 5-7 working days; the factory production cycle for large-volume non-standard contract materials is 30-35 days, and a 100% Material Conformity Certificate (MTC) is provided with each shipment, including a traceable furnace number and a third-party food-grade contact test report.
