What Is 2507 Duplex Stainless Steel Forging?
Forging of 2507 duplex stainless steel is a process involving the heating and plastic deformation of super duplex stainless steel UNS S32750 (EN 1.4410) under controlled conditions, used to manufacture high-strength components such as flanges, valve bodies, shafts, rings, and pressure vessel parts. Typically containing 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum, and 0.24–0.32% nitrogen, the material-in its solution-annealed condition-generally provides a minimum yield strength of approximately 550 MPa and a tensile strength of 800–1,000 MPa, depending on the applicable product standards and testing requirements.
