What is the difference between SUS304 and SUS316?
The main difference is that SUS316 contains 2-3% molybdenum, which provides superior corrosion resistance compared to SUS304, especially against chlorides and acidic conditions. Because of this added element, SUS316 is more expensive and better suited for marine and chemical applications, while SUS304 is a more economical choice for less corrosive environment.

What is the difference between SUS316L and SUS316?
The main difference is that SUS316L has a lower carbon content than SUS316, making it more resistant to intergranular corrosion, especially after welding. This makes SUS316L the preferred choice for applications that require welding, while SUS316 may have slightly higher strength properties. Both grades share similar corrosion resistance due to their high molybdenum content.
