GNEE provides high-quality 17-4PH stainless steel round bars with reliable quality and competitive prices. Our products are widely used in industries such as aerospace, chemical engineering, marine engineering, and precision machinery.
What is 17-4PH Stainless Steel?
17-4PH stainless steel is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel, also known as 630 stainless steel. By adding elements such as copper (Cu) and niobium/columbium (Nb/Cb), and through heat treatment (aging), a copper-rich phase can precipitate at relatively low temperatures (such as 480-620°C), significantly improving its mechanical properties. Its yield strength can reach 1100-1300 MPa, while also possessing moderate corrosion resistance. It is easy to process and form, and its strength can be greatly increased after heat treatment. It is widely used in critical components requiring high strength and good corrosion resistance in aerospace, petrochemical, marine engineering, pumps and valves, fasteners, and other industries.

What is the typical price of 17-4PH stainless steel round bars?
As of early December 2025, the market price of 17-4PH stainless steel (ASTM A564 / EN 1.4542) varies depending on the form and supply conditions. Plate (3–20 mm thick) is approximately USD 2,800–3,500/ton, and bar stock (Ø20–200 mm) is USD 3,200–4,000/ton. The market is affected by fluctuations in the cost of nickel, copper, and scrap steel, with recent weekly fluctuations of 3–5%. Discounts of 3–8% are available for large-volume purchases.
Standard packaging, moisture-proof packaging, steel strapping, and protected with wooden crates.

FAQ
Which heat treatment condition should I choose?
H900 is standard for maximum strength; H1025/H1075/H1150 can be used for balance of toughness and corrosion resistance.
Can 17-4PH bars be machined easily?
Yes, especially in the solution-annealed condition; machining after aging requires optimized tooling.
Is GNEE able to supply large diameters?
Yes, we provide bars up to 300 mm and can produce custom lengths.
Do you provide material test certificates (MTC)?
Yes, EN10204 3.1 MTC is provided for each batch.
