How to ensure material quality?

Check chemical composition:

The core components of 2507 stainless steel (UNS S32750) must strictly comply with the standards (such as Ni 8.5-10.5%, Cr 24-26%, Mo 3-5%, N 0.24-0.32%), and suppliers are required to provide original material reports (CMTR) and third-party test reports (such as spectral analysis, mechanical properties testing).
Certification standards:

Confirm that the product complies with international standards such as ASTM A276, ASTM A479, EN 10272, or domestic standards such as GB/T 1220. Special industries (such as petroleum and chemical industry) need to provide additional certifications such as PED, API, and NACE.
Sample testing:

Samples are required before bulk purchases to conduct key performance tests such as intergranular corrosion (GTA) and pitting potential (PREN≥40) to avoid buying "fake duplex steel" or products with unqualified components.

Clear dimensional tolerances: Confirm the tolerances of diameter, length, straightness, etc. according to the purpose (such as machining, structural parts). For example, the tolerance for precision machining needs to be controlled within ±0.05mm, and the tolerance for conventional use can be relaxed to ±0.1mm.
Surface state: Distinguish between black skin bars, pickled surfaces, polished surfaces, etc. It is recommended to choose a passivated surface in a corrosive environment to avoid scratches or contamination during processing.
Customized requirements: If you need cut-to-length, chamfering, or heat treatment (solution annealing), you must confirm the processing capabilities and additional costs with the supplier in advance.
