What Is SUS310S Stainless Steel Pipe?
SUS310S (EN 1.4845 / AISI 310S) is a High-Temperature Austenitic Stainless Steel known for its Excellent Oxidation Resistance, High Creep Strength, and Durability at elevated temperatures. It contains High Chromium (Cr 24–26%) and Nickel (Ni 19–22%), making it ideal for furnace parts, heat exchangers, petrochemical piping, and boiler tubes.

 

Our SUS310S stainless steel tubes are formed using precision cold drawing or hot rolling processes. Surface treatment options include bright annealing (surface roughness Ra≤0.8μm) or pickling and passivation. The inner wall of the tube is smooth and free of oxide layer, with high dimensional tolerances (outer diameter ±0.10mm, wall thickness ±10%). Standard specifications cover outer diameters from 12 to 630mm and wall thicknesses from 1.5 to 20mm. Custom sizes (≤800mm), thin walls (≥0.8mm), and irregular shapes (such as elliptical or tapered) can be made according to customer requirements. Products strictly conform to ASTM A213/ASME SA213, JIS G3463, or GB/T 13296 standards and come with a Material Testing Certificate (MTC). What's the difference between SUS310 and SUS310S?

The main difference is that SUS310S is a low-carbon version of SUS310, with a carbon content of at most 0.08% compared to SUS310's maximum of 0.25%. This lower carbon content in SUS310S makes it more resistant to carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion after welding, improving its weldability and suitability for applications involving condensation at lower temperatures. SUS310 is generally used for high-temperature applications where its higher carbon content can contribute to better creep strength.
