During welding or service within the 400°C–800°C temperature range, the material effectively resists intergranular corrosion. Through precise annealing processes, the hardness is strictly controlled below the standard maximum limit (≤90 HRB), effectively preventing processing cracks and springback while ensuring leak-free sealing performance. The pipes can continuously operate in high-temperature environments up to 850°C for long-term service.

 

The inner wall of ASTM A213 TP321 boiler tubes comes into direct contact with media such as high-pressure steam. If the inner surface is rough or contains residues, scale buildup or pitting corrosion can easily occur, reducing heat exchange efficiency and causing corrosion failure. Our SS 321 stainless steel pipes undergo thorough pickling or bright annealing treatment, resulting in smooth internal surfaces free from oxide scale, grease, scratches, or pits. TP321 vs. TP347 Boiler Tubes: Which Is Better?

Both are stabilized steel grades. TP321 is stabilized with titanium and offers a more cost-effective price point, whereas TP347 is stabilized with niobium (Nb). While TP347 exhibits slightly superior stability compared to TP321 under extremely high temperatures and in certain strongly oxidizing environments, TP321 represents the most cost-effective choice for the majority of boiler applications.

 

What is the maximum temperature tolerance of TP321 boiler tubes?

In terms of oxidation resistance, they can withstand intermittent temperatures of up to 815°C. In pressure-bearing applications, TP321 is commonly used for superheater and reheater tubing operating within the temperature range of 400°C to 750°C.
