1.4878 Stainless Steel Tube is formed by welding steel strips/plates through high frequency welding (ERW) or submerged arc welding (SAW). The weld strength is close to that of the parent material, and the pressure bearing capacity is 10-20% higher than that of ordinary welded pipes.

1.4878 vs 1.4845 stainless steel pipe

DIN 1.4878 stainless steel ERW pipe has titanium stabilization treatment. It can resist intergranular corrosion without solid solution after welding. It can be used for a long time at 800-900℃. The surface reaches Ra≤0.8μm semi-bright state, which is suitable for high-temperature furnace tubes, nuclear power pipelines and food equipment.
Although 310S welded pipe (1.4845) does not require titanium welding solid solution treatment, it can withstand 1150℃ environment. The surface is Ra≤1.6μm industrial grade state, which is more suitable for pure high temperature scenes such as high temperature furnace linings and burner components.
