A249 TP304L stainless steel pipe is an austenitic stainless steel pipe made of chromium-nickel alloy. It is a low-carbon version of TP304 stainless steel. "L" stands for "low carbon", and this low carbon content improves weldability and reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion.
What is the difference between A249 TP304L ERW welded pipe and TIG welding?
ERW welding uses high-frequency current to heat the edge of the pipe and squeeze welding. It is suitable for large-scale industrial production. It has high efficiency, low cost, and stable weld strength. It is often used in medium and low pressure pipelines (such as industrial water pipes and structural pipes); while TIG welding (tungsten inert gas welding) uses inert gas protection and tungsten electrodes for welding. It can be operated manually or automatically. The weld is fine and the shape is beautiful. It is suitable for thin-walled pipes or high-precision welding.
