ASTM A249/A249M specifies the requirements for welded austenitic steel boiler, superheater, heat exchanger and condenser tubes.
ASTM A249 TP310S stainless steel welded pipe is an ultra-low carbon (C≤0.08%) austenitic stainless steel with high chromium (24-26%) and nickel (19-22%). It has excellent high temperature oxidation resistance and creep resistance and is suitable for high temperature parts of boilers.
ASTM A249 310S boiler tubes have a wide range of sizes and thicknesses, ranging from 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) inside diameter to 12 inches (304.8 mm) outside diameter, and wall thicknesses from 0.015 to 0.320 inches (0.4 to 8.1 mm). Specific sizes and specifications can be customized according to actual needs.

Compared with ordinary stainless steel (such as 304, 316), what are the core advantages of TP310S?

Ultra-high temperature resistance: The chromium and nickel content is higher, forming a dense Cr₂O₃-NiO composite oxide film, and the oxidation resistance at 900-1100℃ is significantly better than 304/316, suitable for extreme high temperature environments.
Creep resistance: The tensile strength and fatigue resistance are stronger at high temperatures (such as above 700℃), reducing the risk of deformation or fracture in long-term service.
Carburization and sulfidation resistance: In a carbon-containing and sulfur-containing reducing atmosphere, it is not easy to form intergranular carbide or sulfide corrosion, which extends the service life of boiler tubes.
