What is 347 Stainless Steel Angle ?
347 stainless steel angle bar is a structural profile made from AISI 347 austenitic stainless steel, a niobium (columbium)-stabilized grade designed to resist intergranular corrosion after welding and exposure to high temperatures. Like 321 stainless steel, it offers excellent creep strength, thermal stability, and oxidation resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature and high-stress applications.
Angle bars made from 347 stainless steel are commonly available in equal and unequal leg sizes, and are widely used in structural frameworks, supports, brackets, and reinforced weldments in aggressive environments.

ASTM A276 347 stainless steel angles are stabilized by adding niobium (Nb) and tantalum (Ta), with a carbon content of ≤0.08%. Compared with 304, it has stronger resistance to intergranular corrosion in welding and high temperature environments, and does not require complex post-weld treatment; compared with 321 stainless steel, it has better creep resistance and corrosion resistance at high temperatures of 800-900℃, and is suitable for long-term high-temperature load-bearing structures such as high-temperature furnaces and heat treatment equipment.
SS 347 Architectural Angles is an austenitic stainless steel that is non-magnetic after annealing, which is beneficial for applications that require non-magnetic structural materials. It may produce slight magnetism after cold working, but it is still suitable for applications that need to minimize magnetic interference, such as electronic and aerospace components.
