What is 304 stainless steel Hot Rolled Round Bars ?
304 stainless steel bar is a round solid steel made of 304 stainless steel (06Cr19Ni10) by high temperature hot rolling process. It is rolled at 1100-1150℃ to form a uniform austenite structure. It has high strength, corrosion resistance and good processing performance. The surface is black (oxide scale) and is suitable for scenes requiring subsequent cutting, forging, drilling and other processing.

304 stainless steel Round Bar contains 18% chromium to form a Cr₂O₃ passivation film, which is resistant to the atmosphere, fresh water, weak acids and alkalis (such as pH 4-10), more than 3 times better than 45# steel; it can be used for a long time at -196℃~800℃, does not crack at low temperatures, and resists oxidation at high temperatures; after hot rolling, the hardness is low (HB≤187), the cutting resistance is small, and the drilling and turning efficiency is 20% higher than that of cold-rolled steel.
