Product Description
304 Stainless Steel I-Beam is a stainless steel profile with an "H" cross-section, containing 18-20% chromium and 8-10% nickel. It has corrosion resistance (weak acid and alkali resistance, water, air resistance), high strength (tensile strength ≥ 515MPa) and easy processing. It is widely used in construction, machinery, bridges and other fields, and is suitable for structural support in non-strongly corrosive environments.
SS S30400 I Beam costs less than 316 stainless steel (about 30-50% lower), suitable for budget-sensitive projects.

Q: Can 304 stainless steel I-beams be used in seawater environments?
A: Direct contact with seawater is not recommended. 316L stainless steel is recommended for long-term use.
Q: How to distinguish 304 and 316 I-beams?
A: The Mo content can be detected by a spectrometer, or a material report can be requested (304 has no Mo, 316 contains 2-3% Mo).
Q: Can 304 I-beams be welded?
A: Yes, but ER308 welding wire must be used. Annealing is recommended after welding to eliminate stress.
