Stainless Steel 316 I Beam
Product Description
316 stainless steel I-beam is a stainless steel profile with an "I"-shaped cross section, containing 2-3% molybdenum (Mo). It has high strength (tensile strength ≥570MPa), resistance to chloride corrosion (Cl⁻≤30,000ppm) and high temperature resistance (≤850℃), and is widely used in harsh environments such as marine engineering, chemical equipment, and bridge engineering. Common materials include 316 (standard type) and 316L (low carbon welding type).

FAQ
Q: Can 316 I-beams be used in seawater environments?
A: Yes, 316 molybdenum-containing materials have excellent resistance to seawater corrosion and are suitable for long-term immersion scenarios.
Q: How to distinguish 316 from 316L I-beams?
A: Distinguish by carbon content (316L carbon ≤ 0.03%), or require a material report.
Q: What is the difference between I-beams and H-beams?
A: I-beams have narrow flanges and are suitable for unidirectional load-bearing; H-beams have wide flanges and are suitable for bidirectional load-bearing.
