316L stainless steel H-beam is a high-performance structural profile made of 316L stainless steel (UNS S31603) and produced according to ASTM A276 standard. Its cross-section is "H"-shaped (consisting of a middle web and upper and lower symmetrical flanges). It has excellent corrosion resistance, high-efficiency mechanical properties and compliance with international standards. It is the preferred material for multinational projects in highly corrosive environments.
The carbon content of 316L stainless steel H beam is reduced by 60% compared to 316, which prevents intergranular corrosion in the heat-affected zone (HAZ), making it suitable for fully welded structures such as pressure vessels and offshore platforms. In terms of bending resistance, the moment of inertia (I) of 316L stainless steel structural beams is 20% higher than that of I-beams of the same size, reducing deformation by 15% under large-span loads, making it ideal for bridge main beams and heavy machinery frames.
