What is the grade of 1.4410 material?
The steel grade 1.4410 ( also called UNS S32750 , F53 and 2507) is a superduplex stainless steel characterized by higher contents of chrome, molybdenium and nickel than standard duplex steels, resulting in increased corrosion resistance. These steels were developed for applications in aggressive chloride environments. It can be processed into various practical product forms, including plates, coils, tubes, bars, and wires.
1.4410 material equivalent astm
The ASTM equivalent for the European material 1.4410 (a super duplex stainless steel) is ASTM A182 F53, also known by its UNS number S32750, commonly referred to as 2507 or SAF 2507. This super duplex grade offers high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich environments, due to its 25% chromium content.

what is 1.4410 material Properties?
1.4410 (UNS S32750) is a super duplex stainless steel with key characteristics including high tensile strength (730-930 MPa), good toughness (impact energy >100J), low thermal expansion coefficient, and good weldability, making it an ideal choice for the oil and gas, chemical, and marine industries.
Ultra-high strength
1.4410 stainless steel has a yield strength of about 550–750 MPa, which is 2–3 times that of traditional austenitic stainless steel (such as 316L). It is suitable for pressure-bearing and structural load scenarios, which can reduce wall thickness and structural weight and save material costs.
Excellent fatigue and impact resistance
Due to its dual-phase structure, 1.4410 has good crack resistance and fracture toughness under low temperature, high load or cyclic load environment, and is suitable for high stress occasions such as offshore platforms, pressure vessels, etc.
Good weldability and structural stability
Under reasonable control of heat input, 1.4410 can be connected by TIG/MIG and SAW welding processes. It can maintain anti-intergranular corrosion performance without heat treatment after welding, and is suitable for the assembly of complex structural parts.
Super corrosion resistance
1.4410 contains 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum and 0.3% nitrogen, with PREN (pitting resistance equivalent value) ≥40, which is much higher than 316L and 2205, and has strong resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
1.4410 vs 1.4462
1.4410 (Super Duplex) is a higher-alloyed grade than 1.4462 (Standard Duplex), featuring significantly more Chromium, Nickel, and Molybdenum, making 1.4410 stronger and far more resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, suitable for harsh environments like oil/gas, while 1.4462 offers a strong balance for general corrosive applications like chemical processing.
