Overview
316Ti is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel, developed to address intergranular corrosion issues during high-temperature service and welding. By incorporating 0.20-0.70% titanium, it forms stable titanium carbides, which prevent the formation of chromium carbides and maintain the material's corrosion resistance even after prolonged exposure to temperatures between 425-815°C. It retains the same molybdenum, chromium, and nickel content as 316, ensuring superior pitting corrosion resistance in chloride environments. Non-magnetic, highly formable, and weldable, 316Ti is ideal for high-temperature corrosive environments where non-stabilized grades may suffer from sensitization.

Core Advantages
Titanium stabilization prevents intergranular corrosion in high-temperature service and welded joints; excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chloride environments; non-magnetic; good formability and weldability; high-temperature stability (up to 800°C continuous service).
Applications
High-temperature heat exchangers, chemical reactors, steam pipelines, petrochemical processing equipment, and high-temperature corrosive environments requiring long-term stability.
Equivalent Grades
UNS S31635, STS316Ti, SUS316Ti, EN 1.4571, GB 06Cr17Ni12Mo2Ti
