347 Stainless Steel

Description

347 is a niobium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel, similar to 321 but stabilized with Nb/Ta. It offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding.

Chemical Composition

C ≤ 0.08, Cr 17.0–19.0, Ni 9.0–13.0, Nb+Ta ≥ 10×C%

Mechanical Properties

Tensile Strength ≥ 515 MPa, Yield Strength ≥ 205 MPa, Elongation ≥ 40%

Advantages

Stronger high-temperature corrosion resistance than 321. Excellent for cyclic high‑temperature service.

Applications

Gas turbines, furnace parts, chemical processing equipment, welded pressure vessels.
