904L stainless steel plates for chemical equipment possess excellent corrosion resistance, with a PREN value as high as 35-40, nearly 45% higher than 316L stainless steel. It exhibits superior resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in corrosive media such as 10-20% sulfuric acid, 3-6M chloride solutions, and seawater. Compared to standard austenitic stainless steel, its service life is extended by 2-3 times, and maintenance downtime is reduced by up to 30%.
