ASME SA213 TP347H Stainless Steel Seamless Tube for Superheater
ASTM A213 TP347H is a seamless stainless steel tube designed for high-temperature applications, particularly suitable for superheaters and heat exchangers.
GNEE supplies ASTM A213 ASME SA-213 TP347H seamless steel tubes made of niobium-chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel. Due to the presence of stable niobium, TP347H steel tubes exhibit excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, high durability and strength, oxidation resistance, and superior bending and welding properties. Its overall performance surpasses that of ASTM A213 ASME SA-213 TP304H. ASTM A213 ASME SA-213 TP347H seamless steel tubes are suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure environments; the maximum operating temperature for pressure-bearing components is 650°C, and the maximum operating temperature for oxidation-resistant components is 850°C.

All tubes shall be supplied as per applicable ASME SA213/213M Specification.

FAQ
What is the difference between TP347 and TP347H?
The primary difference lies in the carbon content. TP347H has a controlled carbon range of 0.04% to 0.10%, whereas standard TP347 usually has a maximum limit of 0.08%. The higher carbon in TP347H specifically enhances creep strength for high-temperature service above 538°C.
Why is Niobium added to TP347H?
Niobium (Nb), also known as Columbium, is a strong carbide-forming element. It combines with carbon to prevent the formation of chromium carbides at grain boundaries, thereby protecting the steel from intergranular corrosion (sensitization).
Is ASME SA213 TP347H the same as ASTM A213 TP347H?
Yes, for most practical purposes, they are identical. ASTM A213 is the standard specification published by ASTM International, while ASME SA-213 is the version adopted by the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) for use in pressure applications.
