What is ASTM A182 F5 weld neck flange?
ASTM A182 F5 weld neck flange is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant pipe component made from a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel that is specifically used in the petrochemical and power plant industries for high-temperature and high-pressure applications. It connects pipes and vessels to piping systems, with the weld neck design ensuring a strong, leak-free connection suitable for critical service environments.
Our ASTM A182 F5 weld neck flanges are integrally forged and subjected to normalizing and tempering or quenching and tempering heat treatment. The neck and flange have a 1:3 taper transition design to ensure uniform stress distribution during welding to pipelines. Nominal pressure ratings cover Class 150 to Class 2500, and specifications are compatible with ANSI B16.5, ASME B16.47, and other standards. Surface treatment options include anti-rust oil coating or sandblasting (Sa2.5 grade). We provide material certification (MTC), hardness test report (HB 187-241), impact test data (AKV ≥ 27J at -20°C), and third-party testing documents (such as SGS).
