What is ASTM A213 TP316L?

ASTM A213 TP316L is the ultra-low carbon variant of TP316, which integrates the molybdenum-containing corrosion resistance and ultra-low carbon anti-intergranular corrosion performance. It is specially designed for welding-intensive heat exchanger tubes and harsh corrosive process pipelines.

Core Characteristics

• Excellent post-weld intergranular corrosion resistance, no need for post-weld annealing treatment, greatly improving construction efficiency • Strong resistance to chloride, acid and alkali media, suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical and marine corrosive environments • Good low-temperature toughness, can be used in low-temperature pipeline scenarios without brittle fracture • Slightly lower tensile strength than TP316, but more suitable for welding-intensive structures
