​​ASTM A268 TP430 stainless steel pipe is a ferritic stainless steel pipe (seamless or welded) suitable for various applications, including high-temperature and corrosion-resistant environments. It is widely used in architectural decoration tubes, kitchen equipment, automotive exhaust components (auxiliary parts), HVAC ducts, and industrial fluid conveying systems, meeting diverse industrial and commercial needs.​​

 

TP430 stainless steel pipes supplied by GNEE are non-hardenable steel, manufactured using a seamless process that includes extrusion or compacting solid steel billets to achieve a uniform cross-section without longitudinal welds. This ensures uniform wall thickness and a smooth inner surface (roughness Ra ≤ 0.8μm), enhancing fluid conveyance efficiency. With good mechanical properties and high-temperature resistance up to 816°C (1500°F), its extremely low nickel content makes it a cost-effective alternative to austenitic stainless steels such as 304.​

ASTM A268 Test Requirements
The tubes shall have a hardness number that will not exceed the prescribed Brinell and Rockwell hardness values, TP410, TP430 and TP439 max Rockwell hardness 90, Test report required certification conform to Specification A1016/A1016M.

Several mechanical tests shall be conducted, namely:

Hydrostatic or nondestructive electric test.
Tension test;
Flaring test (for seamless tubes);
Flange test (for welded tubes);
Hardness test;
Reverse flattening test;
Intergranular corrosion test;

                           

 

Packaging and Marking: Packaging shall be in bundles or laminated wooden crates, wrapped in plastic, and appropriate protective measures shall be taken to ensure seaworthiness for transport or as required.

Marking shall comply with the provisions of A1016/A1016M specifications and shall include whether the pipes are hot-worked or cold-worked, including but not limited to: standard, grade, size, furnace number, and batch number.
