The ASTM A312 TP317L stainless steel welded pipe supplied by GNEE serves as a specialized material for chemical equipment. The TP317L stainless steel ERW pipe (UNS S31703) contains 3.5-4.5% molybdenum, 18-20% chromium, and 12-14% nickel, with a low-carbon design (C≤0.03%) that significantly enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion. The molybdenum content is 50% higher than that of TP316L, achieving a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) ≥25 in chlorinated environments, making it suitable for highly corrosive media. After solution annealing, its hardness is ≤HBW 187, and its high-temperature stability surpasses that of TP316L, enabling long-term service below 300°C.
The inner surface of ASTM A312 TP317L welded pipes has a roughness of Ra≤0.8μm (EP grade), while the outer surface is available in BA grade (Ra≤0.4μm) or 2B grade polish to meet the hygiene requirements of chemical equipment. These pipes are welded using TIG or plasma arc welding, followed by pickling and passivation (per ASTM A380 standard) to restore the passive film. Weld seams must pass 100% liquid penetrant testing (PT) or radiographic testing (RT).

Severely Corrosive Environments: Suitable for strong acids such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, as well as chloride-containing solutions (e.g., desalination equipment).
