When to choose 304 for trim?
For shiny bumpers/grilles. Won't brown like 409. Handles car washes and road salt if waxed.

 

Maintaining chrome-like shine?
Use automotive stainless polish monthly. Clay bar removes embedded contaminants.

 

Exhaust tip turning rainbow?
Normal heat tint. Not harmful. Polish if desired with metal cleaner.
