SUS304 stainless steel sheets contain approximately 18% chromium (Cr) and 8% nickel (Ni), which enable the formation of a protective passive film on the surface. This passive layer effectively resists moisture, grease, salt, and weak acids or alkalis commonly found in kitchen environments, providing corrosion resistance that is approximately three times higher than that of 430 stainless steel.
GNEE supplies SUS304 stainless steel sheets that comply with food-contact safety standards and do not release harmful metal ions, making them safe for daily contact with fruits, vegetables, and food ingredients. The material can be integrally stamped or welded, while offering sufficient hardness to withstand daily impacts and scratches. Its service life is significantly longer than that of ordinary stainless steel materials. Compared with 316 stainless steel, SUS304 is more cost-effective (typically 20–30% less expensive) while still providing performance that fully meets the requirements of household kitchen applications.

The commonly used thickness for SUS304 stainless steel sheets in kitchen sink applications generally ranges from 0.8mm to 1.5mm, with sheets above 1.0mm being preferred for better load-bearing capacity and deformation resistance.
Based on your functional requirements, we can apply anti-fingerprint, anti-scratch, and anti-corrosion technologies to the brushed stainless steel panels covering your kitchen walls.

Why Are Kitchen Sinks Commonly Made from SUS304 Instead of 316L?
316L stainless steel contains 2–3% molybdenum (Mo), which increases its price by approximately 30%–50% compared to SUS304. However, the chloride concentration in typical kitchen environments is far lower than that found in marine or chemical processing conditions. Therefore, 304 stainless steel sheets already provide sufficient corrosion resistance for daily dishwashing, fruit and vegetable cleaning, and exposure to household detergents.
In addition, 304 stainless steel sheets are easier to stamp, deep draw, and brush-finish, offering better surface consistency and making them more suitable for the mass production of household kitchen products.
SUS 304 Stainless Steel Plate Supplier
The deep-drawing process for sinks is highly sensitive to material thickness. We supply high-precision, precision-rolled sheets with a thickness tolerance controlled within ±0.02mm; this ensures that drawing pressure remains constant on automated production lines, thereby minimizing scrap rates.
All materials comply with FDA, LFGB, and RoHS standards. We provide complete Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and heavy metal analysis reports to ensure that your sinks can be successfully exported to European and North American markets.

Packaging and Protection
Dual-Layer Laser Film: We utilize imported or high-quality, thick protective film (70μm – 100μm) that remains intact-without rupturing-during the intense hydraulic stamping process, effectively shielding the surface from scratches caused by the molds.
Residue-Free: Upon completion of production, the protective film can be easily peeled off without leaving behind any adhesive residue.
Each sheet is wrapped in moisture-proof paper, lined with plastic film, and secured with steel strapping. The outer packaging consists of wooden pallets or crates to ensure the safety and integrity of the shipment during international transit.
