Description
SUS316Ti is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel based on SUS316L. Titanium is added to prevent chromium carbide precipitation during welding and high-temperature exposure, ensuring excellent intergranular corrosion resistance. It combines the superior pitting and chloride corrosion resistance of the 316 family with stable performance in cyclic high-temperature conditions. Unlike low-carbon grades that rely only on reduced carbon content, SUS316Ti provides enhanced stability under repeated heating and welding.
Chemical Composition
C ≤ 0.08, Cr 16.0–18.5, Ni 10.0–14.0, Mo 2.0–3.0, Ti ≥ 5×C%
Mechanical Properties
Tensile Strength ≥ 520 MPaYield Strength ≥ 205 MPaElongation ≥ 40%Hardness ≤ 215 HB
Advantages
Excellent intergranular corrosion resistance after welding; strong pitting and chloride resistance; stable performance in high-temperature cyclic environments.
Applications
Heat exchangers, chemical reactors, exhaust systems, flue-gas treatment equipment, and welded components in corrosive environments.
Equivalent Grades
AISI 316Ti, UNS S31635, EN 1.4571, GB 06Cr17Ni12Mo2Ti
