Product Introduction

SUS321 is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel in the SUS series, developed to deliver superior intergranular corrosion resistance and high-temperature stability. Containing 0.15-0.40% titanium, this grade binds with carbon to prevent chromium carbide precipitation, eliminating sensitization during welding and heating. It features a SUS304-like chromium-nickel composition, offering general corrosion resistance comparable to SUS304, with enhanced creep strength at temperatures up to 800°C. Non-magnetic and highly weldable, it is the preferred choice for high-temperature welded components requiring long-term corrosion integrity.

Chemical Composition (wt%)

C ≤ 0.08, Cr: 17.00-19.00, Ni: 9.00-12.00, Ti: 0.15-0.40, Mn ≤ 2.00, Si ≤ 1.00, P ≤ 0.045, S ≤ 0.030

Mechanical Properties (Annealed State)

Tensile Strength ≥ 515 MPa, Yield Strength ≥ 205 MPa, Elongation ≥ 40%, Hardness ≤ 201 HB

Core Advantages

Titanium stabilization eliminates sensitization; excellent intergranular corrosion resistance; superior high-temperature creep strength; non-magnetic; exceptional weldability; stable performance in thermal-cycling environments.

Typical Applications

Automotive exhaust systems, aerospace components, boiler tubes, heat exchangers, and high-temperature welded structural parts.

Equivalent Grades
