Key High-Temperature Advantages

Stabilized Against Sensitization: Titanium bonds with carbon, preventing chromium carbide formation at 427-816°C (800-1500°F) that causes corrosion in other grades.

Excellent Oxidation & Scaling Resistance: Maintains integrity at high heat, suitable for continuous service up to 870°C (1600°F).

Good Strength Retention: Offers superior strength and toughness at elevated temperatures compared to Type 304 or 316.

Recommended Temperature Ranges

Continuous Service: Up to 870°C (1600°F).

Intermittent Service: Up to 900°C (1650°F).

Note: Avoid use in warm chlorides and sulfuric acid; it's best in organic acids and some caustic solutions.

Applications

Aerospace (exhaust systems, engine parts).

Petrochemical & Chemical Plants (heat exchangers, furnace components).

Power Generation.
