Are you in search of high-quality 1/4-hard 301 stainless steel sheets that combine exceptional formability, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength? We offer premium 301 stainless steel sheets (1/4-hard temper) that meet international standards-specifically designed to address the challenges faced by industrial clients, such as poor formability during bending or stamping, insufficient corrosion resistance in harsh environments, unstable mechanical properties, and the high maintenance costs resulting from frequent material replacements.
Utilizing a high-precision rolling process, we strictly control the thickness tolerance of our 301 stainless steel sheets within a range of ±0.02 mm, achieving surface finishes of 2B or BA grade. This ensures uniform thickness and a smooth, flat surface-making the material particularly well-suited for the manufacturing of high-precision products.

Furthermore, 301 cold-rolled stainless steel sheets exhibit exceptional corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding the corrosive effects of atmospheric environments, mild chemical media, and salt spray. In outdoor, industrial, and semi-harsh settings, the material effectively prevents rust and deformation, thereby significantly reducing the costs associated with frequent maintenance and replacement.
The 301 Stainless Steel Sheet (1/4 Hard) features a minimum tensile strength of 620 MPa, a yield strength of 310 MPa, and an elongation of ≥25%. It is highly amenable to bending, stamping, and forming operations without cracking-effectively resolving the challenges typically associated with processing hardened stainless steel sheets and significantly reducing the scrap rate during production.

What is the difference between 301 1/4 Hard stainless steel sheet and Full Hard stainless steel sheet?
The primary distinction between the "1/4 Hard" and "Full Hard" states of 301 stainless steel lies in their degree of cold working, which determines the material's strength, ductility, and range of application. Specifically, the "1/4 Hard" state exhibits moderate strength and excellent formability, whereas the "Full Hard" state possesses extremely high tensile strength (exceeding 185 ksi) and exceptional rigidity, making it frequently utilized in the manufacture of structural springs.
Is 301 (1/4 Hard) sheet weldable?
Yes, 301 (1/4 Hard) stainless steel sheet is generally weldable using common arc welding methods (TIG/GTAW, MIG/GMAW). However, welding will cause a loss of the 1/4 hard cold-worked strength in the heat-affected zone (HAZ), resulting in an annealed, softer condition in that area.
Is 301 stainless steel magnetic?
In the annealed state, 301 is non-magnetic. However, after cold rolling (such as the 1/4 Hard temper), it exhibits moderate magnetism due to martensitic transformation.
For large-volume orders exceeding 5 tons, the lead time is 7 to 10 business days. Additionally, we welcome small-batch trial orders (with a minimum order quantity of just one sheet) to allow you to thoroughly test the product's suitability for your specific application.

We strictly adhere to the ASTM A666 production standard, ensuring that the hardness of every batch of 301 (1/4 Hard) stainless steel sheet is precisely and consistently maintained within the 25–32 HRC range. Thickness tolerances are rigorously controlled to within ±0.02 mm, and each shipment is accompanied by an MTC (Material Test Certificate) containing actual test data for tensile strength (≥862 MPa).

Regarding packaging and protection, the product surface is-by default-covered with an 80–100 μm specialized laser-protective film. The inner layer is fully wrapped (360 degrees) in moisture-proof and waterproof kraft paper, and the material is secured to reinforced wooden pallets that have undergone ISPM 15 standard fumigation treatment (with a weight limit of 2.5 tons per pallet). This assembly is further reinforced with six high-strength steel strapping bands applied in a cross-pattern, along with protective corner guards, to ensure a high-standard delivery-free from deformation, oxidation, or surface scratches-even during long-distance global sea transit.
