EN 10216-5 1.4571 Stainless Steel Seamless Tube

EN 10216-5 is a European standard that specifies the technical delivery conditions for seamless steel tubes intended for pressure purposes, specifically covering stainless steel tubes manufactured from austenitic and duplex steels. Grade 1.4571 corresponds to the stainless steel X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2 (AISI 316Ti); this is an austenitic stainless steel containing titanium, where the addition of titanium is intended to prevent carbide precipitation during welding processes.

EN 10216-5 1.4571 stainless steel tubes supplied by GNEE are manufactured in various delivery conditions, including hot-finished, cold-finished and heat-treated, and bright annealed (CFA) states; their inspection levels are classified into TC1 (General Grade) and TC2 (Pressure Equipment Grade). The tensile strength of 1.4571 stainless steel round tubes typically ranges between 500–730 MPa (in the cold-finished state) and 490–690 MPa (in the hot-finished state), with a yield strength of approximately 210–245 MPa.

Strict regulations regarding dimensional tolerances are enforced; the outer diameter range for 1.4571 stainless steel seamless tubes spans from 6 mm to 711 mm, with wall thicknesses ranging from 0.8 mm to 30 mm. These tubes are suitable for operation within a temperature range of -70°C to 650°C, thereby ensuring their applicability in fields such as pressure vessels, chemical equipment, hydraulic systems, and solar energy installations.
