Product Description
321 stainless steel coil is an austenitic stainless steel whose main components include iron, chromium, nickel and titanium. The addition of titanium (about 0.5%) gives it excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and high temperature strength.
SUS321 stainless steel annealed coil is suitable for temperatures of 430℃-900℃ and is used in aircraft, exhaust pipes and boiler drums.
What is the difference between SS 321 and 316?
Stainless steel 321 coil works best at high temperatures. The titanium in it helps prevent the stainless steel from becoming brittle when exposed to higher heat for a long time. Stainless steel 316 cold drawn coil has strong impact resistance at low temperatures, making it stronger in cold environments.

FAQ
Q: How to identify genuine and fake 321 stainless steel coils?
A: Detect titanium content: require suppliers to provide material certification (MTC), titanium content must be ≥5×C%.
Q: Why does the price of 321 coil fluctuate greatly?
A: The price of titanium is affected by the international market, and the smelting process is complicated (precise control of the titanium/carbon ratio is required).
Q: Can 304 replace 321?
A: It cannot be replaced in high temperature or welding scenarios: 304 does not contain titanium and is prone to intergranular corrosion at high temperatures.
It can be replaced in normal temperature non-welding scenarios: such as ordinary decorative purposes.
