What is 430 Stainless Steel Cold Rolled Coil ?
ASTM A240 430 stainless steel coil (grade UNS S43000, corresponding to EN 1.4016) is a 16-18% high chromium ferritic stainless steel. Through the addition of titanium stabilization treatment, it has good corrosion resistance, excellent thermal conductivity (30% higher than 304) and low expansion coefficient (thermal expansion rate is only 70% of austenitic stainless steel). It is the low-cost corrosion-resistant material of choice in the fields of architectural decoration, home appliance manufacturing, hardware processing, etc. It has a variety of surface treatments (2B/BA/HL/mirror), meeting the full range of scenario needs from basic structural parts to high-end decorative parts.

Will 430 stainless steel coils rust near the sea?
The resistance to chloride ions is weak (Cl⁻＞1,000ppm is prone to pitting corrosion), and the surface needs to be chrome plated (plating ≥5μm) or 304 stainless steel should be used in coastal areas.
What is the main difference between 430 and 430F?
430F adds 0.15-0.30% sulfur (S), and the cutting resistance is reduced by 30%. It is suitable for high-speed machining on automatic lathes (such as bolts below M20), but the corrosion resistance is the same as 430.
