ASTM A312 TP316L stainless steel pipe, with the addition of 2%-3% molybdenum (Mo), has a PREN value ≥24, significantly improving its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Its service life is more than twice that of 304 stainless steel, making it a reliable solution for fluid transport in marine systems, desalination plants, offshore platforms, and coastal facilities.
We also offer ASTM A312 TP316 welded and seamless pipes, covering a full diameter range from 1/2″ to 24″, with wall thickness grades from SCH 5S to SCH 80S. AOD/VOD refining ensures purity of components. The welded pipe undergoes online solution treatment (water quenching at 1050-1100℃) to eliminate stress and achieve a uniform structure. It can maintain corrosion resistance without post-weld heat treatment. The yield strength is ≥170MPa and the tensile strength is ≥485MPa, meeting the pressure bearing and impact resistance requirements of pipelines in ships and marine engineering.

Will TP316L experience stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in a marine environment?
Yes. Austenitic stainless steels (including 316L) are relatively sensitive to SCC in chloride environments, especially when the following two conditions are met:
Temperature elevation: Typically above 60°C (140°F).
Presence of tensile stress: Including residual processing stress or working stress.

A312 TP316L seamless steel pipes are individually packaged in plastic bags, each pipe is wrapped in waterproof material and secured with nylon rope. Clear labels are affixed to the outside of the packaging for easy identification of quantity and product number. Strict protective measures are taken during handling and transportation.
The packaging of A312 seamless steel pipes will be carried out according to international standards, secured with strapping before being loaded into containers to prevent any damage. Delivery time: 10-25 days; if sufficient stock is available, shipment can be made as soon as possible.
