What is ASTM A312 TP316L stainless steel pressure pipe?
ASTM A312 TP316L stainless steel high-pressure pipe is a seamless ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel pipe manufactured according to the American ASTM standard. It contains 2–3% molybdenum and has a carbon content of ≤0.03%, providing excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, chloride ions, and acidic or alkaline media. The pipe features a tensile strength of ≥485 MPa and can withstand temperatures ranging from -196°C to 650°C, with a pressure rating of ≥15 MPa. It undergoes mechanical property testing, hydrostatic testing at 1.5 times the design pressure, non-destructive testing, and intergranular corrosion testing.
TP316L stainless steel pipes for chemical applications are widely used for transporting media in high-pressure and highly corrosive environments such as chemical processing, petroleum, and nuclear power industries.

What is the difference between TP316L marine grade stainless steel pipe and TP304?
