What is 321 Aircraft Stainless Steel Tubing?

 

321 aircraft stainless steel tubing is a high-precision aerospace-grade tube made from Type 321 stainless steel (an American grade containing approximately 18% chromium, 10–12% nickel, and titanium as a stabilizing element; equivalent to China's 06Cr18Ni11Ti). Manufactured through cold rolling or cold drawing processes, these tubes offer tight dimensional tolerances (within ±0.05 mm) and a smooth internal surface finish (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm).

 

With excellent intergranular corrosion resistance and a wide operating temperature range from -196°C to 700°C, 321 stainless steel tubes are certified to aerospace standards such as AMS 5557, AMS 5570, and MIL-T-8808 and undergo rigorous testing, including eddy current testing and hydrostatic pressure testing at ≥20 MPa.
